Working time and work-life balance
It is important to us to achieve a balance between work and private life. The Swissgrid working-time model offers maximum flexibility and freedom. The normal working week consists of 42 hours, including 45 minutes worked in advance for days off. Swissgrid organises regular events for its employees.
Employee representative committee
Swissgrid has its own employee representative committee (works council). The committee encourages employees to share responsibility and to work together as partners. As the holder of representative rights of participation in personnel, operational and social matters, it is a recognised negotiating partner for the Executive Board. Swissgrid's employee representative committee consists of five elected members.
Security policy
Occupational health and safety
Swissgrid lays down occupational health and safety objectives in writing. We conduct regular health and safety audits to ensure that our corporate health and safety policy is being successfully implemented. This enables us to monitor the effectiveness of our security policy and ensure that the legal requirements are being met.
Objectives
Our main objective is to fulfil our ethical and moral obligation to protect all employees from physical harm caused by accidents, occupational illnesses and work-related health problems.
To ensure that our work processes are efficient, incident-free and economic, we want to reduce the number of working hours lost as a result of accidents, illnesses and work-related health problems to as low a level as possible.
