| The European Transmission System Operators run a daily coordinated analyses on the adequacy situation in Europe for identifying potential electricity over- or undersupply for the next days, considering forecasted generation and load patterns as well as expected cross-border capacities. The process includes a new feature to identify potential oversupply in relation to must-run production and non-interruptible renewable energies (such as PV in Switzerland). Today’s process indicated a potential overproduction in several countries for the upcoming weekend including Switzerland. The process identified a particular tight situation with limited downward flexibility for Sunday around midday and early afternoon. The balance groups have been informed separately to monitor the situation closely for the upcoming weekend. |
