BGM Partner Meeting 2021

9 November 2021

Due to restrictions because of Covid-19, this year's meeting will be slightly shortened and held as an online live meeting.

Main topics will be the 70% minimum Remaining Available Margin (minRAM) on the Swiss borders, a review of the Swiss – German export capacities during summer 2021 and the new long-term capacity processes in Italy North. We will also inform about the developments in the cross-border intraday capacity allocation on the Swiss – Italian border and give a summary of the international balancing co-operations and their impacts on the imbalance price.

Representatives of TERNA and EPEX SPOT will present the new XBID processes in Italy, the integration in their Ancillary Service Market, and most recent market developments at EPEX SPOT. Furthermore, a representative of EFET will provide some insights from their international perspective on power markets and energy trading.

To deep dive into selected topics of your interest, the meeting will offer three different breakout sessions that will run in parallel:

  1. Technical questions with regards to the secure connection via ECP / sFTP
  2. Impact of weather forecast on BRPs imbalances
  3. Development of Equigy, a European platform using distributed energy resources (including storage technologies and electric vehicles) to stabilize the transmission grid
