In the first half of 2023, Swissgrid continued to invest in the maintenance and modernisation of the grid infrastructure and implemented the Confederation’s measures to ensure Switzerland’s security of supply.
Swissgrid is presenting its sustainability commitment for the 2022 financial year in the form of a report for the first time.
Swissgrid’s 2022 financial year was dominated by the challenges on the European energy market and the additional tasks entrusted to Swissgrid by the Federal Council to maintain Switzerland’s security of supply.
In a challenging environment, tariffs for grid usage and reactive energy remain stable. Overall, however, the tariffs for the transmission system will increase significantly in 2024.
Swissgrid achieves a solid result in a challenging environment.
A household with an annual consumption of 4,500 kWh will pay an average of CHF 70 for Swissgrid’s services in 2023. This amounts to around 8 percent of its annual electricity costs.
