Swissgrid has made impressive progress in the latest sustainability ratings of three leading rating agencies. Both Ecovadis and ISS ESG have raised Swissgrid’s rating, thereby confirming the progress made with regard to sustainability.
Ecovadis has increased the rating from 74 to 80 points and awarded Swissgrid a gold medal for the first time for its efforts in the area of sustainability. ISS ESG has upgraded Swissgrid’s rating from B to B+. The agency Inrate has confirmed its good rating of B+.
The main reasons for the improved results include the publication of the climate targets for Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions and the associated reduction pathway. Swissgrid has also further increased transparency and disclosed additional key figures relevant to the ratings.
The new scores emphasise the high priority that Swissgrid attaches to sustainability and demonstrate its continuous efforts in this area. Swissgrid’s transmission grid is the key to a sustainable energy future and an important pillar of the Energy Strategy 2050.
