Change on the Executive Board at Swissgrid

Adrian Häsler (58), Head of Business Unit Grid Infrastructure and Deputy CEO, has decided to leave Swissgrid as of 31 March 2026 to take on new tasks, mainly on a strategic level.

Adrian Häsler joined Swissgrid as Head of Grid Delivery on 1 April 2017. Two years later, he took over as Head of the Business Unit Grid Infrastructure and became a member of Swissgrid’s Executive Board.

In this position, he was responsible for the planning, construction and maintenance of the Swiss transmission system and, in particular, for the implementation of the Strategic Grid 2025. He played a key role in shaping and developing the business unit and successfully put into practice a wide range of major initiatives and projects. His achievements include the commissioning of the Chamoson – Chippis and Pradella – La Punt lines and the modernisation and voltage increase of the Bassecourt – Mühleberg line. He also initiated the project to improve the physical protection of substations. In addition, important projects in the areas of innovation and digitalisation were completed under his leadership.

He engaged in constructive dialogue with authorities, suppliers and service providers and played a major part in enhancing Swissgrid’s visibility.

The Board of Directors and the CEO deeply regret Adrian Häsler’s departure and wish him every success for the future. «I would like to thank Adrian Häsler very much for his commitment and outstanding work over the past few years. He has made a significant contribution to maintaining security of supply in Switzerland. The early announcement of his resignation as Head of the Business Unit Grid Infrastructure will enable Swissgrid to find the best solution for a replacement without any time pressure,» says Yves Zumwald, CEO of Swissgrid.

The search for a successor has already begun.
